studio director, LAURA

Having grown up in South London, Laura moved to Croydon with her husband in 2019, and she is honoured to be able to serve her local community and share the benefits of yoga.

Laura discovered yoga as a teenager but began practising in earnest from 2009. After completing her first Yoga Teacher Training with The Yoga People in 2015, she now teaches full-time in London, as well as holding workshops and retreats in the UK and abroad.

Laura primarily understands yoga as a spiritual practice of self-inquiry and in 2022 graduated with a Distinction from an MSc course in Consciousness, Spirituality and Transpersonal Psychology with a focus on Ashtanga Yoga, which has expanded her knowledge and deepened her interest in yoga as a spiritual path. She has also continued her yoga studies having completed 750+ hours in a variety of styles including Ashtanga, Rocket, Mandala, Elemental Flow, Pregnancy Integration and Pre and Postnatal Yoga, and is a Certified Meditation Teacher.

She has been studying martial arts for over a decade, and holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which she also teaches. Laura really enjoys the physicality of dynamic practices and her classes explore this by presenting challenging postures with an invitation to connect deeply with the body and inner world. She sees herself as a student of yoga, who can in turn share insights about the practice with her own students.
